Located in 10 acres of beautiful grounds, the house was built in 1884 by Mr. Fairhurst a Wigan Brewer as a wedding gift to his new bride. The house was home to the family as well as seven servants plus a Nanny for the children, two Chauffer’s and two Gardeners.
